CLINICS

The ‘Quarter Kids’ programme founded by Breako’day Quarterhorses offer  three hour intensive clinics run exclusively for youth interested in and currently competing in western peformance.    Each month focuses on a specific western event with fun, safety, achievement and of course friendship, all rolled into the one day.  Children from five to eighteen participate with ponies and quarter horses alike, all with enormous aspirations!  The training environment is primarily one of encouragement and technique allowing the children to develop their training progressively.

Quarter Kids are encouraged to try out their recently acquired skills at regional Quarter Horse Shows.  Many Quarter Kids starting out have gone on to win stateand national  titles with both the AQHA and NRHA. …. Courtney Norbury, Chelsea Raag, Lana Kelderman…. and many more.             

                         

2010 QUARTER KIDS CAMP 

 SEMPTEMBER 24-26th SCHOOL HOLIDAYS- TONIMBUK EQ CENTRE

Our creative quarter kids camp program provides extensive riding  lesson time.  Each day is filled with three training sessions and evening activities, with the intention of progressively developing young riders into accomplished AQHA, NRHA and NCHA competitors. Training sessions with professional instructors  will give an insight into the skills needed to perform in a variety of western performance events.  

Quarter Kids are honoured and priveliged to announce 2010 coaches: Jesse Mathrick, Rachel Elliott,  Craig and Tori Rath, Dean Grass, Liz Keating, Brett Hands, Bethea Hill, Kate Elliott, Chris Gregory and more to come.!!

QUARTER KIDS’ PARENTS INDULGANCE: For all the parents that requested inclusion in the training programme, here it is,…  a one hour GROWN UP  clinic will be offered friday and saturday evenings.  The horses ridden must already be attending camp and a donation offered to the clinician.

ACTIVITIES AND SEMINARS: pleasure master class with Craig and Tori Rath on YLS Sassy and RQH One Hot Chick,  halter master class with Dean Grass and the exceptional stallion Pass Judgement, professional saddle maker Hamish Gregory leather workshop, jumping master class with Bethea Hill fresh back from the US, youth judging, chuck wagon cooking, horse breaking , equine career paths with qualifed equine vet nurse and current vet students, National event training simulation game, breakaway roping,  Stallion Management,  Barell racing demonstration with ABHA.

EXCITING NEWS:  …..Fresh of the plane, AQHA Youth World Cup Contenders fly straight to Quarter Kids Camp to present their experiences at the Youth World Cup in the USA and share their developments with time spent with USA Trainers.

Camp Cost : $300 inclusive of coaching, stabling, arena hire, camping and meals
